Trinity United
Church of Christ
Our faith is 2000 years old, but our thinking is not.
We are a congregation of the United Church of Christ.
open-minded and curious
social justice oriented
diverse in our practices and beliefs
united in our desire to follow Jesus the Christ.
Trinity UCC traces its history back to the early days of the settlement of Tiffin, Ohio and reflects a movement toward greater unity among churches.
A brief timeline of Trinity UCC follows:
1833 First Reformed Church was organized
1883 Members of First Reformed split and organized Grace Church
1925 Following the flood of 1913, First Reformed and Grace Church reorganize together as Trinity Church
1934 Following the merger of the Evangelical and German Reformed churches, Trinity Church becomes Trinity Evangelical and Reformed
1957 Following the merger of the Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Congregational Christian Church, Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church becomes Trinity United Church of Christ.
"...that they all may be one."
Our tradition is one of reconciliation within the Body of Christ.
God is still speaking.
